"God Bless the Dream, the Dreamer and the Result."

FaithWalk Clothing by William Renae

In today's world and in times past collaboration and partnering has been an instrumental strategy.  Partnering helps us to grow, learn, change and exchange ideas.  Even the Bible endorses partnering based on the scripture that says, "Where two or three are gathered, I am there."

I want to introduce to you a mother/son partnership, which currently launched a new clothing line.  The clothing line is called FaithWalk. The new line is created to encourage others to save themselves and to take control of their own destiny.

Renae Parker Benenson is a Mom, certified Chaplin (spiritual listener and encourager), writer and co-founder of FaithWalk.  William Marshall Parker II is a Son, entrepreneur, writer and co-founder of FaithWalk.  Together they compliment each other and have found support for their individual and collective growth and development.

They started FaithWalk because they get it.  They have figured out that their life is to get better spiritually, emotionally, financially, intellectually and physically it will be because they have prayed to God and believe that the Creator will equip them for the journey and fill them with unfathomable power to be and to do more than they can ever imagine.

Hipsters 101: Their History, Bleak Future

Hipsters. They “sneer when you cop to liking Coldplay”; they “sport cowboy hats and berets”; they’re “the only ones in America who still think Pabst Blue Ribbon is a good beer.” But they’re certainly not a new phenomenon, writes Dan Fletcher for Time. The first jazz-loving hipsters emerged in the 1930s; after World War II, Norman Mailer “painted hipsters as American existentialists, living a life surrounded by death.”

The first generation of hipsters was replaced by hippies, and yet another crop emerged in the early 1990s to recycle trends past: “Take your grandmother’s sweater and Bob Dylan’s Wayfarers, add jean shorts, Converse All-Stars, and a can of Pabst and bam—hipster,” Fletcher writes. They have been described as “the death of Western civilization,” and as “hipsterdom's largest natural habitat”—Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood—is threatened by squatters, “there aren’t many who are concerned.”

Sniping Fashion Blogger Unmasked as 'Nice' Designer

Eric Gaskins has had some success in the fashion industry, but he’s never been a big-name designer. His alter ego, on the other hand, has made waves, the New York Times reports. Now that Gaskins’ shop is closing, the “nice guy” has revealed himself as Fluff Chance, the man behind a blog that blasts a “perverted” fashion industry he says has become “a game.”

Gaskins called Marc Jacobs “an American expatriate version of John Galliano in his appearance and I fear in his imagination”; designer Peter Som, he said, was “the poster boy for displaced and discarded designers.” Fashion insiders were intrigued by the blog, called The Emperor’s Old Clothes, and wondered who wrote it. “What he wrote was so true,” said another designer. “It was almost like the things I wanted to say, but just couldn’t say.”

New Fashion Mag Takes Web by Storm

The newest magazine to make a splash in the fashion world isn’t sold in stores, but it is a head-turner. Online-only Polyvore lets users act as fashion editors, putting together “sets” of clothing and accessories other users can then click to purchase. The site is growing in popularity as traditional magazines suffer, and it boasted more visitors last month than Vogue’s Style.com and InStyle.com, the New York Times reports.

Polyvore takes readers to the site that sells whichever piece of a set they click on—but the mag earns a commission from only a fraction of those clicks. It's working on revenue-building relationships. “There’s this aspirational side and entertainment side” to selling clothes online, says an investor, “which none of the sites up until now have done a good job at tapping into."

How to Buy the Perfect White Shirt

Like the little black dress for women, the white shirt is the cornerstone of a man’s wardrobe—and small differences between shirts can make a big statement when it comes to your appearance. GQ offers tips on how to select the perfect staple:

Fit your body type: The shirt should neither balloon nor be too tight. Box pleats are a stylish way to gain a little more room.
Find the right color: But it’s white, right? Not so: Some companies have more than 400 white fabrics. Material is another important factor—Egyptian and Sea Isle cottons are the nicest.
Get the collar right: “A medium collar is modern. Too big and you look like a dandy. Too small and you look like you shopped in the boys’ department,” one designer says.
Keep it white: Sweat stains can ruin your prize white shirt, so utilize stain remover, wash in hot water, air dry, and iron—but don’t starch, it eats away at fabric.

Fall Fashion Trends: Tough-Chic to Sex Kitten

The fall runways offered their share of splurges—like the must-have biker jacket—but savvy, recession-friendly choices like the pinstripe suit had their own moment in the spotlight. Vogue highlights the most important fall trends:

Biker chic: Think zippers and shrunken tops. Designers from Christophe Decarnin to Alexander Wang featured tough-chic looks.
Show it off: Corsets and bralettes highlighted the bust, while one-pieces flaunted the legs—and of course, there was the bare midriff.
Back to the 1940s: Some designers reminisced with big shoulder pads; others with long, glamorous gowns.
Back to the '80s: Other designers revived a more recent decade with metallic leather and crystal-studded minidresses.
Drapey dresses: Flowing, layered skirts came in both short and long varieties from Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, and others.
Classic looks: Camel hair, pinstripes, double-breasted jackets, and tweed found themselves back on the runways.

HE's Always on Time, Sometimes Early

Boolumaster

We've all been in situations where at first we didn't think it would work itself out, but it did!
GOD is always on time and depending on you HE's early.

We all have our own interpretation of GOD our Creator. Some look to GOD above in the paradise called Heaven. Some look within themselves where GOD dwells. They are all correct, GOD is evenly present everywhere and HE knows exactly what you want and need before it even crosses your mind. The key in getting our CREATOR to bless you instantly is to know that you already have it.

Imagine yourself with that new home, that nice ride, those sneakers or gators, that Plasma screen, whatever it is you want or need.

Personally I'm spoiled. I call myself a spoiled child of GOD, I go in already believing and expecting. GOD loves us and wants for us to prosper. Expect your good. Expect that every cell, fiber, tissue, artery etc is working in perfect order. Expect to beat the economy. Expect that the Rent or mortgage payment will come. Expect to be the best at your job, Expect to get a raise in income. Expect whatever you need or want.

GOD is GOOD, ALL The TIME. He's always on Time, but based on your thoughts HE WILL COME EARLY.

Have A Wonderful Life!

GOD Bless Us ALL

Tyler Perry Sends Swim Club Kids to Disney Instead

The 65 children who were denied entrance to a Philadelphia swim club are going to Disney World instead, thanks to Tyler Perry. The playwright “wanted to do something nice for them and let them know that for every negative experience, there are people out there who want them to succeed regardless of the color of their skin,” his publicist tells CNN. Elsewhere:

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy got engaged on a whim at Kennedy’s Laugh Factory performance Saturday night, the New York Post reports.
Britney Spears’ father is ready to give up his conservatorship of the singer, sources tell TMZ. He plans to ask the court to review the terms after her tour ends, and a judge will make the final decision. Meanwhile, Spears’ ex Kevin Federline—and her two sons—may star in a new reality show, E! reports.
Despite his night with Star reporter Kate Major, reality dad Jon Gosselin was back with 22-year-old Hailey Glassman by the next day—and sources tell the New York Daily News she’s moved to the city to be closer to him. “They looked deliriously happy,” says one witness. “They kept stopping to make out—and they made out a lot—but they were really cute together.”

Ups & Downs

Boolumaster

Life, Life, Life, so wonderful to be blessed with it. During our lifetime we go through ups and downs. We can be on Cloud 9 in happiness one moment and a simple email, text or phone call can throw a monkey wrench in our program, which immediately steals joy. Some allow these experiences to invite dis...... ease.... from worrying which causes stress. Others have found that worrying doesn't help or solve these unlikely experiences or situations, so they proceed forward or upward knowing that "This Too Will Pass"

Think about it, we've all been at very low points in our lives, but it passed. WE CAME UP!!! I believe we all could live happier and healthier lives, if we remind ourselves that "This Too Will Pass"

The quote "This Too Will Pass" if completely understood, would humble the arrogant and bring motivation and inspiration to the destitute. Some wealthy people become more wealthy while others lose it all. Some poor people remain poor while others prosper.

Let's go on from this day forward knowing that "This Too Will Pass"

Have A Wonderful Life!

GOD Bless Us ALL

Interview with William Renae by Sarina Cliff

Summer of 2009

Not long ago I had an opportunity to meet William Renae. He is a young, single, African American brother who lives in the Chi (Chicago). Will is the creator of "FaithWalk Clothing and The Chatteaux." Trying to get on William Renae’s schedule is not very easy because he is always on the move: passing out flyers, promoting a piece of clothing, networking with other artists, creating ideas, and mentoring to those who would listen. His goal… to encourage others to grow in their faith, to dare to dream and to meet their heart’s longing.

The interview was conducted in a comfortable family room on a Saturday afternoon in late spring. He was leisurely dressed and wearing a pair of his favorite sunglasses. He was also wearing one of his signature T-shirts.

SC1: William Renae, we live in a world that tries its best, night and day, to make us someone else. How do you fight this battle to stay true to who you are?

WP1: I acknowledge that it is a battle to be yourself amongst others who are trying to make you someone else, instead of accepting you for who you are. Sometimes it frustrates me that people can be that way. Still I try to be as real with people as I can and to get along with them without losing myself or taking on their issues. I fake it until I can make it. Meaning I sometimes make sacrifices but not compromises in the midst of my journey. I become a chameleon. I adapt to my situation to survive on an everyday basis in order to reach my end goal. What I have to fake now is forgoing doing my craft full-time and to work a job. I have to fake it until I can make it to fulfill my passions long term.

SC2: And what is your passion?

WP2: Fashion, filmmaking and music. I also like volunteering – mentoring to kids.

SC3: What is it about fashion, filmmaking, music, and mentoring that interests you?

WP3: I was drawn to fashion, filmmaking and music because it is gives me a sense of self-expression. I want people to experience and feel my style. I like sharing myself with others. By being involved in the arts and by mentoring people, you get to learn about and to be entertained by another vision…my vision. With my vision I hope to be a driving force in connecting people to their passions, creating jobs and wealth for the community.

SC4: William Renae it seems to me your decision for self-expression is about creating what interests you. It is bringing to bear that message or that thing that gives you great satisfaction. What are you doing to fulfill your interests?

WP4: It is true…self expression is important; especially if you are not seeing things in the fashion industry or in the media that speaks to your interests. With that being said, I founded a clothing line with the help of my Mom called FaithWalk Clothing by William Renae. The clothing line was created to inspire others to save their life - to use their God given talent to better themselves, their community, their family and the universe. We also started a new Internet website called The Chatteaux, Check it out on thechatteaux.ning.com.

SC5: Very interesting. I see you are wearing a Tee from your clothing line. Could you say something about the design and the idea behind it?

WP5: Absolutely, FaithWalk Clothing specializes in vintage motivational collage T-shirts. We’re fairly new…about a year old.

The first T-shirt is called “USA.” It means “You Save Your Own A$$”….I conceived it after being laid-off work. Looking at the news and hearing about all the things going on in world - the economy, people losing their jobs and those who are suffering on the job (because they’re not living their passion) - led me to create the T-shirt. On the T-shirt is an image of the Statue of Liberty. She is a symbol that is known by all people. She was a gift to the US from France for helping them to gain their liberty. She represents freedom. An idea everyone around the world can understand and even strive for in some way. In the T-shirt, the Statute of Liberty is sitting instead of standing. She shares a powerful word of wisdom… U Save Your Own A$$ because being able to save your own ass utilizes your gifts and talents that God has blessed you with, whether you are a cook, singer, dancer, author, rapper, designer, politician or fireman. This gift is usually what makes you happy, connected to God and you don't mind going to work to do it daily. I have found that more often than not most people hate their jobs but they do it to pay the bills. I think there is more to life than just paying the bills. There is another goal too - to live our dreams. A job does not have to be our life mission but it is a resource. It goes back to being a chameleon - faking it until you can make it - gaining a cash flow that will allow you to eventually fire your boss and to become your own boss.

SC6: Hmmm…A powerful image and expression of self -determination. Cool. Are you also working on a second T-shirt?

WP6: Yeah….The second T-shirt is of the Phoenix. It is a spiritual bird that lived in the Arabian Desert for 500 or 600 years and then consumed itself by fire. It dies but it rises from the ashes to start another life. You can see it on line at FaithWalkClothing.blogspot.com. The images in the shirt are rosary beads, praying hands and it has an embroidered outline.

This T-shirt represents hope. It is a common theme you may have seen with the Obama campaign and his victory. We cannot lose hope no matter how bad our situation may get. I know you may have complaints. You may curse your situation. You may get angry or upset sometimes with yourself, your family, your friends, and even God. (Chuckling) Hey, I’m sure He gets a whole lot of people angry with Him or Her or however you interpret IT. But in the same token you got to have that 1% of hope in you. Knowing that your situation will turn around – maybe not today and not tomorrow, but your situation will turn around for the better.

SC7: We're living in an unsettling and fear-based climate. We need more positive and uplifting images that help to sustain us as we turned our situation around. Is there a third T-shirt on the horizon?

WP7: Yeah, we do have a third one in mind but I’m not ready to talk about it now. But I can say it is something dealing with foundation, family and teamwork.

SC8: You talked about another passion of yours….

WP8: Yeah for sure…volunteering for the Chicago Urban League. I participated in a program that offered scholarships for youth. I reviewed applications and interviewed youth to see if they were qualified to receive financial assistance from the Urban League. The process was very interesting. We looked at academics, family background and their volunteer experience. It’s so amazing and refreshing to see so many bright and talented young people out there. I am optimistic about the future for the young people. In order for them to continue on a path of success we have to provide a good foundation for them – starting with family, teachers and community. We need to nurture our next leaders and be good examples. We also need to listen to our young. Everybody has something to teach us…especially our youth.

SC9: Do you see yourself as a good example? What do you hope to accomplish with FaithWalk Clothing and The Chatteaux?

WP9: Yes, I do. I definitely hope to offer a remedy to help people with certain problems in the world; for instance, dealing with domestic violence. There are always going to be people who make – I'm not going to say bad choices - but unwise choices. At least if people hear about another opinion or learn another way to look at their situation, maybe they will make a better choice that is right for them. So I hope with The Chatteaux, people will see the show and hear the story of this young black male who went down some wrong paths, hung around with a few knuckleheads and is trying to make a difference. He did not make any excuses. He used his knowledge of technology, his filmmaking and writing gifts to help someone else. Due to his perseverance and hard work – just maybe he other support will find its way to him.

FaithWalk Clothing line has been an accomplishment…I have gotten great feedback from FaceBook, MySpace and Twitter. We have been reaching out to a number of different friends including some celebrity friends who come to town and those we communicate with over the Internet. They have believed in the shirt and company from the beginning. People are commenting on how they appreciate the positive spiritual messages they have received to help them get through the hard days here on Earth. I know from experience that life is bittersweet at times. It is up and down just like a rollercoaster. Everybody has some type of preferential faith or mission statement they choose to follow to inspire them. It may be Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Voodoo, metaphysics or thinking green. I believe we need to respect each other’s perspectives and to separate it from politics. People need to learn from one another and to appreciate what the other brings to the table. Democracy is about a freedom of choice. Everybody does not have to eat McDonalds or to wear FaithWalk Clothing – though (smiling) I would love for everyone to wear FaithWalk Clothing but there are choices.

In my view mutual respect and mutual understanding is about interpreting and choosing what will fit for you and what works best for you. Hopefully in the end whatever choice people make will be appropriate and in alignment with being a good citizen in society. My goal is to offer positive messages and images on my Clothing as a remedy- a way to encourage others during their ups and downs.

SC10: Right now, you are unemployed and have been for several months…the economy is jacked up, there is no visible job on the horizon and yet you stay focused on your dreams. What keeps you going?

WP10: All of what you have said is true. Life can be hard at times and you still have to find some enjoyment by living your dreams and focusing on them daily too. The things that keep me going are patience, fitness, prayer, my faith, my belief in self and others and sharing my sadness with trusted friends. Knowing that I am not alone gives me some consolation. Still there are those days when I am pained and humbled by my situation.

SC11: Is this a FaithWalk for you?

WP11: It is definitely a faith walk for me. It has been a journey not a destination. Those before me have done it. Brad Pitt wore a chicken costume. Sade was a bicycle messenger and Bernie Mac delivered bread. Tupac Shakur sold drugs and wrote poetry.

All of these people had to start from somewhere and they found help along the way. There is one thing I cannot stress enough. We cannot get to where we want to be by ourselves. Somewhere along the way there is someone - a guidance counselor, a neighbor, a teacher, a friend, a pastor, a sister, a brother - willing to help. I am grateful for those people in my life who have helped me. There is a song called Lean on Me. In adversity, during a challenge or to even win a game, we all need someone to lean on. We need someone to be there to offer a kind word and a helping hand to get us through. I have been going through some tough times since I’ve been laid off of work. I have been doing some external work and internal work to stay charged up. I have learned a lot and I am learning more. I am glad for Family - glad for my brother who has helped me. My brother and I have not always had the greatest relationship but he has been there for me. I’m sure I have done some things that he has not liked and there have been some things he has done to me that I have not liked. Still I am grateful that he has been there for me.

Michael Jordan did not get to where he is without help. He had to figure that out. He learned this lesson more when he got into the NBA and worked with the Bulls. Yes, he could win a game but he could not win a championship, or have a legacy without a great team behind him.

There are many people behind me who offer support and encouragement. I am grateful because I could not do what I do without them.

SC12: William, you offer us some good food for the soul. Thank you for allowing me to interview you and others to get to know you. It has been a pleasure.

WP12: Thank you.

A final word: William Renae is not on a work assignment that pays but he is and has been working. His assignment is both challenging and fulfilling. I appreciate his courage and curiosity to see where life takes him. It takes a great deal of ego strength, resilience and faith to go through the hard times of uncertainty. I value people like William Renae who call us out of the shadows, to step out and to expose our self and our dreams to the light. Spiritual awakening is scary.

His words are refreshing. They urge us to live… an authentic life, to carve out dreams by whatever healthy measures we can and to fake it until we can make it. He maintains that we cannot continue to blames others for our circumstance and put off looking for a remedy that works for us. William Renae reminds us, just like the stories of old, that we have the freedom to actualize our potential and a responsibility to shape the future and our next leaders. He maintains that during the process of becoming free, we have to be realistic about the past (yes I made some mistakes), expectant about the future (waiting is painful, I can do it, and I am not alone) and fully engaged in the present (I am down now but I can only go up from here). If I can help someone with health, strength and wisdom I know my life will not have been in vain.

William Renae, I pray you more patience, confidence and strength on your faith walk and as you dare to live your dream. I pray you a work assignment that will value your worth and skill. I pray you a community of friends who supports you and gets you. I pray that you will find others to challenge you to become even bigger and that you will not lose your humility. Congratulations on what you have accomplished already. For friends of FaithWalk Clothing, The Chatteaux and other seekers who understand what it means to wait for your season and to walk a path that is less travelled, please send William Renae some encouragement. Encouragers need encouragement too.

Peace for the journey!

Zac Sunderland, 17, returned to Los Angeles, completing a 13-month journey and earning the title of youngest sailor ever to circumnavigate the globe, the Times reports. Sunderland, of Thousand Oaks, Calif., was greeted by cheering crowds aboard yachts and sailboats. He traveled 25,000 miles, crossing three oceans and five seas, enduring a pirate scare, a rogue wave and numerous boat malfunctions.

Sunderland may not hold his record long: Mike Perham, a British teenager who is a few months younger, cast off last November on a similar circumnavigation voyage. Perham, however, is sponsored and making the trip in a 50-foot yacht; Sunderland captained a 36-foot sailboat. “It’s like one guy’s got a Ferrari and the other guy’s got a VW,” said the director of the American Sailing Association. “There’s really no comparison.”

World got you down? Let one of these coaches buck you up: AskMen picks the best sports movie inspirational talks. The top five:

Kurt Russell, Miracle: “If we played ‘em 10 times, they might win nine. But not this game.”
Al Pacino, Any Given Sunday: “You find out life's this game of inches. So is football. The inches we need are everywhere around us.”
Gene Hackman, Hoosiers: “If you put your effort and concentration into playing to your potential, to be the best that you can be, I don't care what the scoreboard says.”
Pat O’Brien, Knut Rockne, All-American: “Sometime when the team is up against it, tell them to go out there and win just one for the Gipper.”
Billy Bob Thornton, Friday Night Lights: “Being perfect is about being able to look your friends in the eye and know that you didn't let them down, because you told them the truth.”

The newest viral video stars are the fourth- and fifth-grade members of New York’s PS22 Chorus, thanks in part to celebrity blogger—and fan—Perez Hilton. “He’s the one who really got these kids on the map,” chorus director Gregg Breinberg tells MTV. But it’s the choir’s offbeat song choices—they’ve covered everything from Tori Amos to Lady Gaga—that brought YouTube attention.

The choir’s fame has helped stave off the budget crunch, and it’s done more for the students than simply teach them how to sing. “Math has just gotten easier for me,” says one member. “Mr. B is always telling us to focus, and when we get into class, we focus some more.” Adds another, “We met Rihanna. How many kids like us, our age, got to meet her?”

Hiker Safe After 12 Days Lost in Aussie Hills

A British teenager is recovering in the hospital after an afternoon trip that turned into a 12-day ordeal in the Australian wilderness, the BBC reports. Jamie Neale, 19, got lost in the Blue Mountains and survived by eating seeds and grass, and sheltering under logs amid freezing temperatures. His son has "come back from the dead," said Neale's relieved but exasperated father.

The teen was found by bushwalkers some 9 miles from where he began his hike. "I can't say I'll kill him, it would spoil the point of him coming back," said Richard Cass, who flew to Australia from the UK to assist in the search. "He's probably the only teenager in the world who goes on a 10-mile hike and leaves his mobile phone at home."

2009's Best Music So Far

Now that 2009 is more than halfway over, James Montgomery runs down the best albums of the year—so far—on MTV:

Animal Collective, Merriweather Post Pavilion: The No. 1 pick is “the only thing I can remember that has actually lived up to the hype, if not exceeded it.”
Phoenix, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix: “Retro pop hyper-focused on a futuristic re-imagination of post-modernism and neo-classicism as proletarian touchstones? That you can dance to?” earns album No. 2 spot.
Kelly Clarkson, All I Ever Wanted: “Yes, seriously,” she made it into the top five. Clarkson is “finally realizing her full potential as a pop megastar.”
Wilco, Wilco (The Album): “Jeff Tweedy and company appear to be aging gracefully here and, in the process, they've created the summertime anthem for anyone who owns a battered Volvo wagon and spends their Saturdays playing kickball in McCarren Park.”
Mos Def, The Ecstatic: This is “the album his fans have been waiting for since 1999’s milestone Black on Both Sides. Welcome back to earth, Ford Prefect.”

Foreign Policy 101: Jay-Z's Feud With The Game

What does the burgeoning beef between rappers Jay-Z and The Game have in common with US foreign policy? Plenty, writes Marc Lynch in Foreign Policy. Like America, Jay-Z is a hegemon: “Nobody, but nobody, in the hip-hop world has his combination of hard power and soft power.” But like America, it’s debatable how much of that power Jay-Z should actually use against lesser threats.

The neo-conservative approach would be to crush The Game, but Jay-Z—who’s learned from beefs with Nas and 50 Cent—would risk lowering himself to his opponent’s level. A structural attack—blocking The Game’s album releases or Grammy appearances—might seem petty, and inspire more anti-Jay-Z sentiment. Lynch advocates a realist approach: ignore The Game, and shore up alliances.

Jack White's New Band Opens Strong

Jack White’s rise to stardom in the postmillennial world of the struggling blues rocker is “remarkable,” and he continues to “honor the blues’ authenticity” while also exploiting its “capacity for mythology” with his third project, writes Stuart Berman for Pitchfork. On Horehound, the Dead Weather—including members of the Raconteurs, Queens of the Stone Age, and the Kills—delves “even deeper into the blues’ swampy roots and devil’s-music deviancy.”

This time around, White is back on the drums, giving him “an even better vantage point to direct his cast”—which showcases lead vocalist Alison Mosshart and “her cat-in-heat performances,” occasionally on duets with White. If his “continued dominance over contemporary blues-rock is in fact the product of some deal with the devil—and if that means more bands as fully realized as the Dead Weather, let's hope that Beelzebub will consider a contract renewal.”

Nails: New Glam Accessories

Want to accessorize like the stars, but can’t afford diamonds? Never fear: Fingernails are the new, subtler fashion accessory. “You can just get a bottle of nail polish and you're on the trend wagon,” one nail guru tells USA Today. The top celeb nail trends:

Nail art: Beyoncé has J-A-Y spelled out on three of her nails, with a picture of her famous hubby on her thumb.
Dark is the new black: Black polish might have been considered goth at one time, but now stars like Lauren Conrad aren’t afraid to wear inky shades.
Traditional, with a twist: Jennifer Lopez adds shiny silver to the tips of her otherwise-traditional French manicure.
Go bright: Rihanna has been spotted with polish ranging from neon yellow to kelly green.
Don’t match: You can take a cue from Solange’s alternating nail colors, but “not at the first job interview,” the expert warns.
It’s not just for women: You may not want to wear polish, like Seal, but “it’s OK to get a manicure-pedicure” even if you’re a guy.

The Best Rock Frontmen

Frontmen are at the heart of rock ‘n’ roll—no matter how amazing the musicians in the band are, they still needs someone with the right mix of talent and charisma to reach the crowd. The Independent compiles the best:

Johnny Rotten, Sex Pistols. Like so many other rockers, he’s now an aged self-parody. But in his time Rotten was punk rock—the fashion, the politics, the sneering sarcasm.
Mick Jagger, Rolling Stones. Jagger mixed a voice aged beyond his years with a flamboyant, unselfconscious sexuality to propel the Stones to worldwide fame.
Jimi Hendrix, The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Hendrix is most commonly lauded for his guitar skills, but he was a showman, too. With his eclectic hippy dress, drugged-out reputation and enormous talent, Hendrix practically invented the rock star cliché.
Marc Bolan, T.Rex. Bolan’s stage persona was a mix of Jagger, Dylan, and Bowie, which helped to establish glam rock.
Iggy Pop. The Stooges. Pop abused and exposed his body to deliver a stage presence as overwhelming as The Stooges’ punk assault.

The Way It Is

Boolumaster

In life, people take things a certain way. Most comprehend the point exactly as it reads or as it is heard, while others take the same text and rip it apart based on what's inside them. Yesterday I posted a note about my 5000 friends on Facebook, like I said above, most comprehended my exact point while others took offense and removed themselves.

As much positivity and productive words of encouragement that I bring, what would piss a person off that much? Is it the fact that I promote my business regularly, or maybe that I use GOD too much and people are used to hearing me playing hip hop which shows no love to GOD. One of my friends said "everybody wants to be a motivational speaker on FB, another associate sent me a FB message saying that "you only except the friends that hold your nuts". It's truly unbelievable how people are in this life. As my profile states, I'm a humble person, thankful for GOD's gifts. Social Networking tools like FB, myspace, and Twitter allow you to see the personal side of an individual. I praise GOD for my position and I don't regret anything. So I'm not ashamed to be me, I've been blessed to spin music on radio for 10 years. Over that time I've gained a few fans that appreciate what I've done, and I'm grateful. I'm not looking for any comments to stroke my ego. I write and share DM's as a way of tithing. I take time out of my morning to try to encourage whoever needs it.

I can only be who I am. Yes 90% of dj's and anybody in the so called spotlight are arrogant and they boast. That confidence isn't bad, it shows a belief in one's talent and if you don't believe in your GOD given talent nobody will.

In concluding, this is the way life is.
Your intent could be for good, but there will always be people that take things the total opposite. It happened to Jesus, so I'm in great company. So I thank Bill Cosby for one of my favorite quotes "I don't know what the keys to success are, but the keys to failure are trying to please everybody"

Thanks, if you do not like the person I am take the time to remove yourself, there is somebody out there that can use the encouraging emails and post. As I said earlier, I don't need any comments to stroke my ego, so please don't post any, Just take this message and know that this is The Way It Is.

Have A Wonderful Life!

Worst Logos in Sports

A sports logo is a team's badge of pride—or a complete joke. AskMen.com rounds up the worst:

Carolina Hurricanes: Don’t forget to flush!
Tampa Bay Rays: Stingrays and Manta rays would have been cool, but the team found it more appropriate to represent light shining on the state of Florida—how intimidating.
Memphis Grizzlies: While in Vancouver, the team’s bear-with-claws logo was mildly threatening. In Memphis, the updated logo has more of a teddy bear feel.
Portland Trailblazers: The logo has been around for a while, for no good reason; the gray and red lines represent the 10 players on the court.
Toronto Raptors: A dinosaur in high-tops? Looked great in 1993 on the coattails of Jurassic Park. Now, not so much.

The Best and Worst Karaoke Songs

For the incoherent drunkards, the friends who get yanked onstage, and all other would-be singers, Entertainment Weekly offers the best and worst karaoke songs: The Best:

"I Want It That Way," Backstreet Boys: The entire room will be singing with you; getting audience members to admit they like the song is another story.
"Umbrella," Rihanna: The raucous beat will drown out a mediocre voice.
"All Or Nothing," O-Town: With great melodic elements and an octave level that’s encouraging to people past puberty, this song is karaoke gold.
The Worst:
"American Pie," Don McLean: The song is 8½ minutes long, which is about 8 minutes more than the audience wants.
"Hurt," Nine Inch Nails: Instrumental stretches and repressed childhood issues need to be left at the bar door.
"Sweet Caroline," Neil Diamond: You can only hear “Dah dah daaaah!” so many times before “you want to track Caroline down and kill her in her sleep.”

Out of Mind, Out Of Sight

Boolumaster

A wise man in my field of work said, "Stay in the mist of the game, Out of Sight, Out Of Mind".

Let's flip it. Out of Mind, Out of Sight. If you don't know by now, your mind is the most important tool in your life. Incorrect use of this tool could mean disaster.

WE have to stop thinking negative. All the time spent thinking negatively, puts our dreams or GOOD on the back burner. If our GOOD is out of our MIND, it's for surely out of SIGHT. We have to Work with all our might, to find the GOOD in everything. I know, easier said than done, but when WE start to find the GOOD in everything, our picture in MIND jumps back into focus. So if it's OUT/not present in our Mind, It's Out/not present in Sight. Now, there's no progress towards anything because we're standing still in the mist of Nothingness. WE have to get our Minds RIGHT today! To have the Sight to make a better tomorrow.

Interior Decorating

Boolumaster

While doing my cardio workout and meditating, an old friend came to mind that I spoke with at a recent holiday cookout. She's an interior decorator that was truly excited to share information about her passion.

We all need some form of rehab or interior work done inside our minds and souls. Time to remove those dark colors of negativity and combine beautiful brighter colors of positivity and prosperity. Time to flush all the BS down the drains and install NEW pipes that flow only clear and pure substance. Time to pull up that nasty carpet and replace it with something plush and rich. It's time to totally gut out the old error thinking and rehab our temples. While WE are working on our inside, our outside starts to change.

We get help decorating from GOD, if we ask, self help books and Positive influences. The work has to be done by YOU and YOU alone.

It's Time for a change, If WE want to change what's going on, on the outside, with our lives, WE have to do some interior decorating.

Have A Wonderful Life!

Skinny Jeans Craze Puts the Squeeze on Guys

The market for skinny jeans is expanding, as more and more men looking to show off their assets are pouring themselves into tight fitting styles, the Wall Street Journal reports. But as they target a crowd beyond the usual hipsters, skaters, and hip-hoppers, manufacturers are giving customers a bit of a break: Levi’s has added space in their jeans’ seat and thigh; Gap has loosened the thigh and knee.

“Guys don't want leggings,” notes Gap’s head designer. Despite the recession, sales of men’s jeans selling for $50 or more rose 8% in the year ending April 30. And more and more men are willing to make sacrifices in the name of fashion. “Discomfort comes with the territory," says a wearer who has found running and crossing his legs impossible.

Journey's 'Don't Stop' an Unlikely Phenom

By songwriting standards, Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” should never have made it past No. 9, which is where it stalled on the charts when it was released in 1981. But since then, the song—which doesn’t get to its anthemic chorus until 3 minutes and 20 seconds in—has achieved cultural icon status, beloved by everyone from karaoke singers to sports fans to Kanye West, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The song’s resurgence began when it was played by a string quartet in The Wedding Singer, says Journey’s Jonathan Cain. Since then, it has been adopted by—to name just a few—the Chicago White Sox, Broadway’s Rock of Ages, and the Sopranos. Most recently, Glee used the song in its pilot, and its version debuted at No. 2 on the iTunes charts. “It’s not one of those songs you feel is too cheesy,” said Glee's producer. "You can sing to it in karaoke and not feel silly."

Federer Nets Historic 15th Slam

Roger Federer claimed his 15th Grand Slam by outlasting Andy Roddick in a grueling five sets at Wimbledon. The 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 3-6, 16-14 match easily smashed the record for longest set, as neither man could break the other, USA Today reports. Federer set the new mark for titles as Pete Sampras, the previous record-holder, looked on.

Big Bosses

Boolumaster

Based on your feedback, I see that by GOD using me as a vessel, good things are happening for people. People are starting to see that they can be Bosses.

In the GOOD BOOK, it states that "ye are all gods". We are gods under GOD. Let's bring this concept current. WE are Bosses! GOD gives us complete & total dominion over our own life. You have a choice to be a BOSS or an employee and people are seeing the future and are opting to be in control of their own destiny. Everybody won't be a boss, because obviously Bosses need employees, but remember that GOD wants us to be self governing when it comes to our own affairs. We determine our destiny! If you don't like what you are doing currently, change it, easier said than done, but it can be done. We can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.

Congratulations to all the new Bosses in the world. We need your services and/or product. Remember to have great customer service, so that customers will refer you to others and continue patronizing your business.

GOOD Luck BIG BOSSES

Have A Wonderful Life!
